Query

Hi I recently purchased the sui dhaga lotus earing. They are beautiful and I love them but I have a query ... the rear lotus dhaga doesn't screw completely to the end of the grooves provided infact they just stop midway after three-four grooves. Is this normal? I was hoping that it screw on till the very end of grooves provided as a means to adjust the length and safety and the fear that the back may fall off. Help would be appreciated and clarity in this.
